Edmonds Street Strut to benefit local schools

The 2nd annual Edmonds Street Strut is coming up this Saturday, October 9. Participants in this 5 K (3-mile) run/walk include hard-core runners, families pushing strollers and even some four-legged friends – all enjoying the route that covers some of Edmonds’ most scenic city streets.

The winner, the school with the highest turnout, receives the coveted traveling trophy- a golden running shoe and a cash prize for their schools PE department.

The Street Strut is put on by the Edmonds Public Schools Foundation. Proceeds raised go back in to helping schools in the District, including schools in MLT. The school with he most participation wins a trophy and $400. Molly from the Cedar Way PTO informs us that Cedar Way Elementary will have a group participating that others who are interested can join (8:30 by the registration table).
