Edmonds School District plays host for Unified Soccer Tournament

The Edmonds School District hosted the District 1 & 2 Unified Soccer Tournament May 16 at Lynnwood High. The day was kicked off with opening ceremonies in the gym with the National Anthem performed by the ESD VOICE choir. District cheer squads from all four high schools led the teams in the “March to the Match” to kick off tournament play.

A total of 28 high school and seven middle school teams participated, including four teams from the Edmonds School District. Only the top team from the High School Division 1 and High School Division 2 advanced to the State Tournament. The team representing Lynnwood High finished 3rd in Division 2A. VOICE B finished 6th in Division 2B, VOICE A finished 3rd in Division 3B and the team representing Edmonds-Woodway High finished 2nd in Division 3C.
