The East Mountlake Terrace neighborhood centered around the 4000 – 4200 block of 227th Place Southwest was named as the fourth best in the Seattle area for viewing holiday lights and decorations by Redfin, a national real estate agency.
The “Mountlake Terrace Christmas Light Display” features about 25 decorated homes, music, candy canes, a drop-off site for donations to the Concern for Neighbors Food Bank, and the occasional visit from Santa Claus. The display even has its own Facebook page here.
On the Redfin top five list, the Mountlake Terrace collective display placed just ahead of Nutcracker Lane in Issaquah and behind displays in Sammamish, Ballard and the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle.
Redfin named top neighborhood displays in cities across the country, and even put together a top five in the entire U.S. listing. You can view the Redfin listings here.
Holiday display lovers heading to Mountlake Terrace to view the top-five display should also check out the lights and decorations in a second city neighborhood, the 6200 — 6400 block of 227th Street Southwest off 66th Avenue West.
