The Mountlake Terrace Arts Commission presents the Donna Jean Perry Exhibit at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Avenue West. A northwest native, Perry won the 2006 Arts of the Terrace City Purchase Award.
Perry began painting at the age of eight in a variety of media, but gravitated to collage and has been working with it exclusively for the last 16 years. “I find it vastly interesting for the endless possibilities of materials, textures, and images,” Perry said. “I rely on my imagination to provide the subject – mood, feeling or idea, and then select the materials I feel best express that subject.”
Perry is on the Board of both the Northwest Collage Society and the Eastside Association of Fine Arts. Her work is carried by five galleries and she enters approximately 14 juried shows a year. When time permits, Perry teaches collage in her studio in Bothell.
The show runs through April 30 at the Mountlake Terrace Library, Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m.
