Consider donating to the David Ridge Memorial Fund

On Friday, July 30, during the Tour de Terrace parade a man playing basketball at the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion courts collapsed. Two fire and aid units broke away form the parade and came to assist the man. Unfortunately David Ridge, Jr. died from heart complications that evening.

David “D.J.” was born on September 16, 1983 in Thornton, Colorado. He is survived by his wife, Emily, 4 children, parents, siblings and many loving extended family and friends.

David’s mother had this to say about her son:

He really was a wonderful young man! He is a reminder to us all to love one another while we are here. I know he is in a beautiful place now. He touched many lives while here and I’m sure it has touched your life in a special way.

David was very good friends with some of the crew of the FV Northwestern from the tv show the Deadliest Catch. Below is a photo of David, his family and MLT residents and Northwestern crew members Matt Bradley and Edgar Hansen.

A fund has been set up to help David’s family and there are a couple of ways that you can donate. One is by going in to any Wells Fargo branch and tell them you would like to donate to the “Daivd Ridge Memorial Fund.” The other way you can donate is through Paypal via iFundrazr here.
