Pet Adventure, 22803-44th Ave. W. in Mountlake Terrace, is hosting three pet adoption events over the next eight days. A dog adoption event is set for Saturday, Sept. 15, noon-4 p.m., and cat adoption events are scheduled for the next two Sundays, Sept. 16 and 23, noon-3 p.m.
Forever Home Dog Rescue will be on hand Saturday with dogs that are available for adoption to qualified applicants. The dogs have been rescued from overcrowded shelters and puppy mills and spend time with volunteers in foster homes before being put up for adoption.
The staff from Castaway Cats, a private, non-profit rescue group from Bothell, will be bringing cats to meet and consider for adoption on Sept. 16 and 23. Castaway Cats matches up cats that have run out of time at shelters with new prospective pet owners.
