Two beers will be added to the Diamond Knot lineup next month.
The Keeper’s Old Ale is the first to be released in The Keeper’s Series, named for those who once operated lighthouse beacons.
The Keeper’s Old Ale is brewed with six different malts and barley. Diamond Knot describes it as full-bodied and rich with notes of sweet plum and brown sugar with a molasses finish. It contains 9.9 percent alcohol by volume.
You can find The Keeper’s Old Ale in specialty bottle shops, ale houses and large beverage retailers starting Feb. 8.
Slane’s Irish-style red ale will also return for its 21st season on Feb. 1. Slane’s is named after Diamond Knot’s co-founder’s granddad, who once brewed for Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Slane’s is described as a sweet beer with a caramel aroma and a hint of smokiness from the chocolate malt. It has 5.6 percent alcohol by volume.
It will be available on draught at Diamond Knot locations, including the brewpub in Mountlake Terrace located at 5602 232nd St. SW. and in 22 oz. bottles.
