Senior Trung Banh is off to a perfect start this wrestling season. But despite an 8-0 personal record and a first-place finish at the Edmonds Invitational Tournament earlier this month, Banh isn’t satisfied: The 106-lb. weight class wrestler wants to get even better.
“I feel like that I’m not wrestling at my best,” Banh said. “If I want to win a state title I need to wrestle a hundred times better.”
Banh and the rest of the Mountlake Terrace wrestling team will have plenty of opportunities to improve their skills this week with three meets in five days. The action starts on Tuesday when the Hawks travel to Evergreen in southwest Seattle for a 7 p.m. contest. On Wednesday, the Hawks head to Arlington for a Double Dual meet starting at 5:40 p.m., then the team will compete at the Lynnwood Classic starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at Lynnwood High School.
