Cristina Kramp Exhibit Opens November 1

The Mountlake Terrace Arts Commission presents the Cristina Kramp Exhibit at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Avenue West. Kramp combines the arts of calligraphy and watercolor, building up different transparent layers of watercolor and using calligraphy to make the words of others more powerful.

Kramp discovered her love for the arts as a young girl growing up in Ecuador. After a high school watercolor class inspired her to paint, Kramp went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in visual arts from Brigham Young University.

”The flow of the paint and water in watercolor captivates me,” said Kramp. ”It demands speed and precision to take advantage of its qualities.”

Kramp has entered her work in the Arts of the Terrace and is an active member of the Edmonds-based Write On Calligraphers guild. She has also taught group and private lessons for several years.

The show runs through November 30 at the Mountlake Terrace Library, Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
