During the span of the Ousmart Hunger Food Drive, nearly 20,000 people will visit a food bank in Snohomish County to feed their families. The summer is generally the time of year the food banks receive the least donations. Since more and more people are losing their jobs, many people are visiting food banks for the first time.
The Snohomish County Food Coalition is a network of 20 food banks across Snohomish County. The Mountlake Terrace Concern For Neighbors food bank is part of this coalition. You can donate cash or non-perishable food at QFC in Cedar Plaza, Albertson’s on 44th/212th or Roger’s Marketplace on 56th and 232nd from August 15-31.
