Council set Oct. 6 to approve artist agreement for Civic Campus

The Mountlake Terrace City Council at its Monday, Oct. 6 business meeting is scheduled to approve a professional services agreement with one of the two artists chosen to provide art for the Civic Campus redevelopment project.

Louise McDowell and CJ Rench were selected to create public art in the future Town Center Park/Plaza, which will be located between the new city hall and 232nd Street Southwest and 58th Avenue West.

Under city policy, the Civic Campus redevelopment project – which includes a new city hall, police station addition and park/plaza area –  requires that 1 percent of the construction budget fund visual art.

Also on Monday night, the council is set to have a quarterly discussion and update of city council goals and to recognize Girl Scouts from Troop 44253.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in interim Mountlake Terrace City Hall,
6100 219th St. S.W., 2nd floor. You can see the complete agenda here.
