The start date for construction of a new four-story assisted living facility on 56th Avenue West in the Town Center district of Mountlake Terrace has been pushed back to late June, according to project designer Kevin Carl of Urban Innovations Group of Seattle.

Vineyard Park is planned for the west side of the 23000 block of 56th Avenue West; demolition of existing buildings on the site had hoped to have begun around Jan. 1. The delay in the start of site preparation and construction is “related to construction financing,” said Carl.

With construction expected to take 12-14 months, completion of the project is now anticipated for autumn 2014.
