Crews made short work of tearing down the old Electri-City Contractors and Distinctive Countertops and Cabinets buildings in the 23000 block of 56th Avenue West Monday. The lots are being cleared to make room for a new four-story assisted living facility, Vineyard Park, expected to be open in late 2014. Construction could begin as early as next month.

  1. Try adding businesses to the area and not so many apartment and housing units. Our quiet town is gonna be over run.

    1. Vineyard Park is an assisted living facility which will be mostly occupied by senior citizens. Businesses need people to thrive. While I would have loved to see some retail on the bottom floor of Vineyard Park, having more people walking in the neighborhood is exactly what it needs to attract more businesses.
