The condition of a 42-year-old Bellingham man who jumped from the 220th Street Southwest overpass onto the northbound lanes of I-5 on Friday has been upgraded to satisfactory at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The man was reported to have been talking about suicide while riding in a car driven by his brother. When the brother stopped the vehicle to call 911, the man ran from the car to the overpass.
A hospital spokesman was unable to report the injuries sustained by the man, although police has originally referred to them as “life-threatening.”
