City staff to make budget presentations this month, hold public hearing in November

The City Council will hold a series of meetings in October and November for budget presentations, review and public hearings that will result in an adopted 2015-16 biennial budget.

Arlene Fisher will present the City Manager’s message for the proposed 2015-16 Biennial Budget to the City Council at its regular meeting on Oct. 6.

On Thursday, Oct. 16 at a City Council Work/Study Session, the 2015-16 Proposed Biennial Budget Department Presentations will include City Council, City Manager, Community Relations, Administrative Services, Public Works, and Community and Economic Development.

The Recreation, Parks, Property Management, Police, Municipal Court, Fire, and Engineering Services Departments will deliver their budget presentations to the City Council at its Thursday, Oct. 23 Special Work/Study session. The Recreation Fee Schedule will also be reviewed.

Public hearings on the 2015-16 Proposed Budget and Property Tax Levy are scheduled for Nov. 3.

It is anticipated the Council will adopt a budget for the 2015-16 Biennium on Nov. 17. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. at the Interim City Council Chambers at 6100 219th Street SW, Suite 220.
