The City of Mountlake Terrace has renewed its animal sheltering contract with PAWS.
The City has contracted with PAWS for animal shelter services since 2012. There were two changes in the contract.
The impound fee paid to PAWS by city for city impounds has incrased from $165 to $175. In addition, fees for animals not impounded by the City, but released to PAWS by residents of the City, will not be paid by the City. Those fees will be the responsibility of the pet owner or the person releasing a stray animal to PAWS.
Animals taken into custody by Mountlake Terrace officers are held at PAWS, located at 15305 44th Ave. W, Lynnwood.
