The City of Mountlake Terrace is advertising two part-time employment opportunities, one in city maintenance and one at the Recreation Pavilion pool.
The city is looking to fill a three-quarter-time maintenance specialist position, a post that is scheduled to work 40 hours per week for a nine-month period of the year, typically February through October. The individual chosen to fill the job would remain on the city payroll for a full 12-month calendar year, with one quarter of the job’s salary and benefits earned during the nine-month work period set aside to be paid during the three-month off-season, typically November through January.
This maintenance job is a union position that includes performing duties involving the city’s streets, sewer systems, storm water systems, water systems, parks and facilities. Compensation is $19.23-$22.74 per hour with a prorated benefits package.
The second available position is a part-time lifeguard/swim instructor post at the Recreation Pavilion. The city is looking for applicants 16 years old and older who have six months of prior relevant work experience and hold current Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications. Compensation is $10.91-$13.62 per hour with no benefits.
