PTOE Certification requirements include having at least four years of experience in professional traffic operations engineering and passing a six-hour exam. Hall’s pursuit of this professional certification was by her own initiative, cost and time, city officials noted.
“I would like to congratulate Janet on this accomplishment and thank her for her hard work in developing skills that will benefit the city,” said Engineering Services Director Will Van Ry.
Prior to joining the City of Mountlake Terrace staff in early 2010, Hall was the Senior Transportation Engineer for Fehr and Peers of Kirkland. She previously earned an M.S.E. (Civil) in Transportation Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
