The City of Mountlake Terrace’s Finance Director Sonja Springer and Treasurer Mick Horton received a “Professional Finance Officer Award” from the Washington Finance Officers Association for the eighth year in a row.
Springer oversees city budgets and coordinates annual financial reports while Horton manages the city’s cash and investments.
“Out of 1,700 government agencies in the State of Washington, only 200 people are designated with this award,” said Interim City Manager Scott Hugill. “The community can take pride in the accomplishments of these two employees who provide transparency and accountability to our local government.”
