The city council approved the following items Monday night.
6-0 Ballinger Lake Golf Course Lease Agreement was renewed and will extend the city’s partnership with Hardy Golf through 2015 with the following adjustments to assist with the decline in golf rounds purchased annually.
- Adjusting the annual lease payment from $87,000 to $24,000.
- Lease payments of $24,000 to be paid over an 8 month period April – November.
- Include provision for % of gross operating revenues to be paid to the City including an incentive if rounds of golf exceed 20,000 rounds yearly.
The proposed changes to the lease agreement would reduce the City’s lease revenues by an estimated $46,832 in 2011 and 2012 and an estimated $35,347 in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The renewal benifits the city by ?not requiring the city to maintain the course or locate a new operator.
6-0 City Council accepted a $9,875.00 recreation contribution for improvements to Terrace Ridge Park in lieu of providing a public pedestrian trail that was proposed within the development plan, commonly known as “Foxwood Ridge”, located at 4503 240th Street SW.
The original plan was approved by the council on February 20th, 2007, which creates a total of 6 single-family residential building lots, with an average lot size of 4,100 square feet, on a 1.17-acre parcel. The plat also creates two open space tracts, one guest parking tract, and a new public street, 44th Place W.
