Several financing strategies and scenarios on possible options for the Civic Campus will be discussed by the City Council at a mid-year special work session on Saturday, June 4. The special work session begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Interim City Hall Council Chambers located at 6100 219th St SW, Suite 220.
At their April 28 work session, the City Council continued discussing next steps and possible options for the Civic Campus as a follow up to their annual planning retreat on March 5. The City Council discussed key policy issues, reviewed several options to reduce the project’s size and scope, and provided direction to develop and update several financing strategies and scenarios for a mid-year retreat.
The City Council continues to address economic development and the city’s capital improvement needs focusing on state and federal partnerships to leverage additional resources. The City Council reviewed options to reduce the scope and size of the Civic Campus proposal that was presented to voters last November.
