Changes in food and beverages at schools to be discussed at Superintendent’s Roundtable Wednesday

Edmonds_School_DistrictThe topic of this Wednesday’s Edmonds School District’s Superintendent’s Roundtable is the upcoming changes in what foods and beverages can be sold to students during the school day.

Representatives from the District’s Wellness Committee will be on hand to discuss:

  • Smart snacks in vending machines and student stores
  • Fundraising involving sale of food and beverages
  • A la Carte school meals
  • Physical education and physical activity
  • Classroom parties
  • Food as incentive and rewards in the classroom
