The City of Lynnwood and VFW Post 1040 of Lynnwood will be holding a Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. inside Veterans Park, located just south of the Lynnwood Library on 44th Avenue West. The event will include performances by the Northwest Junior Pipe Band.
In Edmonds, Edmonds VFW Post 8870 will hold a brief Veterans Day observance at the Edmonds Veterans Plaza at 6th and Bell, starting at 2 p.m. Monday.
Keynote speaker will be State Rep. Strom Peterson. Everyone is welcome including all local veterans, from all conflicts. Seating will be available.
A new batch of pavers honoring individual veterans has been installed and the names of those honored will be announced.
Vietnam service recognition pins will be distributed to any Vietnam Vets in attendance who have not yet received them.
Real first and last names — as well as city of residence — are required for all commenters.
