Students from Cedar Park Christian School — Mountlake Terrace put down their pencils and picked up their work gloves on Nov. 1 to spend some time in community service.
Following an early dismissal from classes, some of the junior and senior high students from the private school trekked over to Forest Crest Park to complete some clean-up of the five-acre grounds. A separate group of students traveled to Mill Creek and helped set up an auction event.
“This is the third year that Cedar Park Christian schools have given back to the community in a tangible way of service,” said Jody Speck, Administrative Assistant and Registrar at CPC-MLT. “We are proud of how willing our students are to serve others during after-school hours.”
Highland Vision Clinic in Shoreline sponsored the school’s Community Service Day and supplied T-shirts for all who participated in the event.
Cedar Park Christian School-Mountlake Terrace has an enrollment of about 150 in grades 7-12; the campus is located at 23607-54th Ave. W. in Mountlake Terrace.
