Cedar Park Christian-MLT loses second game at state tourney

CPC-MLT logoThe Cedar Park Christian School — Mountlake Terrace Lions were handed their second loss at the WIAA 1B Boys Basketball Tournament Friday. The Lions fell 69-60 to the Three Rivers Christian Eagles at the Spokane Arena.

Playing from behind for most of the game, CPCS-MLT tried to mount a fourth quarter comeback, but was kept at bay by strong Eagle free throw shooting. Three Rivers Christian converted nine of 14 free throw attempts in the final quarter, 19 of 26 in the game.

Three Rivers Christian moves on to play for fourth place in the tourney against Tulalip Heritage on Saturday, Mar. 8; in the 1B boys championship game Colton will take on Pomeroy. You can view the entire WIAA 1B Boys Hardwood Classic brackets here.
