Cedar Way Elementary Granted $10K from Allstate

Cedar Way Elementary was recently granted $10,000 from Allstate Insurance for being within the top 10 in the Allstate Cash4Class contest.

Cedar Way PTO Co-Presidnet Molly Luna says that the money will probably go to help fund back paraeducator hours that will be cut with the new budget.

“Allstate would like to thank everyone who participated in the Cash for Your Class’ voting program. We recognize the importance that education plays in the communities in which we live and work and on behalf of the 344 Allstate agents and nearly 400 regional and claims employees in Washington, we are proud to aid the educational needs of our local community,” said, Kim Bartos, Field Vice President, Allstate Insurance Company, Northwest Region. “‘You’re in Good Hands with Allstate’ is more than a company slogan; it is a way of life.”

The top ten schools are as follows:

Newcastle Elementary School – Issaquah School District
