Temperatures were in the mid-20s but that didn’t chill the enthusiasm at the Mountlake Terrace Tree Lighting event Friday night.

While spectacular, Wednesday’s sunset over Mountlake Terrace also seemed foretelling of imminent stormy weather. Weather forecasts call for rain and possible thunderstorms Thursday and Friday.
44th Avenue Community Block Party photo gallery
The 44th Avenue Community Block Party attracted attendees from throughout the area on Saturday for fun, food and music. Proceeds from the event are slated to go to the Concern for Neighbors Food Bank in Mountlake Terrace, the Lynnwood Food Bank and the Mountlake Terrace Youth Athletics Association.
