If you’re looking to catch some of the best girls basketball teams in the state, you’re in luck, as the eighth annual Edmonds School District Summer Shootout is taking place Friday through Sunday (June 13-15) at all four Edmonds District high schools.
The tournament is run by the four district high schools as a fundraiser for their girls basketball programs. The tournament features 36 varsity teams and 30 junior varsity teams from around the state. The tournament starts at 4:30 p.m., Friday, and wraps up with the championship game at 5 p.m. Sunday at Meadowdale High School.
In addition to the four district teams, other schools participating are Bothell, King’s, Arlington, Bishop Blanchet, Kennedy, Lake Stevens and West Valley.
