There’s a new art exhibit at the Mountlake Terrace library. More info from the City:

The Mountlake Terrace Arts Commission presents the Write On Calligraphers (WOC) Exhibit at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Avenue West.

Nothing illustrates, preserves, and celebrates the beauty and power of language more than the art of calligraphy. As an art within an art, calligraphy showcases the written word through the love and devotion of dedicated groups like Write On Calligraphers. A Northwest non-profit organization based in Edmonds, WOC sponsors workshops and
conferences and participates in exhibits throughout the Puget Sound region. This exhibit features a variety of works by calligraphers Katherine Malmsten, Kathy Barker, Brigitte Hefferan, Gayle Waddle-Wilkes, Gail Shurgot and Carol Rutte.

General meetings are open to everyone and are held at the Francis Anderson Center in Edmonds from 7 to 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday in January, March, May, September and November. WOC presents an annual conference, Letters of Joy, the first weekend of May at Edmonds Community College. For more information on WOC, please visit
their website at https://writeoncalligraphers.homestead.com.

The show runs through July 30, Mondays through Thursdays, 10 am to 9 pm, Fridays, 10 am to 6 pm, Saturdays, 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays, 1 to 5 pm.
