For the second year in a row the Mountlake Terrace Business Association (MLTBA) is donating school supplies for children in our community in need.

Several members of the Mountlake Terrace Business Association met on August 18 to stuff back packs with school supplies to be delivered to two Mountlake Terrace elementary schools. The MLTBA purchased 150 back packs and school supplies to donate to Mountlake Terrace Elementary School and Cedar Way Elementary School. This is the second year that the MLTBA has had their “Back Packs for Little Hawks” program.

Doug Johnson, principal of MLT Elementary School, said that this program means a lot to the school community. Having back packs and school supplies available to families in need takes a big burden off of the parents who otherwise may not be able to afford the supplies.
