Burn ban lifted for Snohomish County

The burn ban for Snohomish County was lifted as of 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11. Winds were expected in the north part of Puget Sound Monday night to help keep air pollution below the health standards.

The purpose of a burn ban is to reduce the amount of pollution that is creating unhealthy air usually due to excessive wood smoke.
