Next week, the Mountlake Terrace Library will host a Build Your Own Robot class for kids ages 7 to 14.
Participants will work in pairs to create models out of Legos featuring working motors and sensors. Then, a software program makes the robots move and produce sounds.
According to the course description, the class is designed to spark an interest in science, technology, engineering and math in young kids. Parent participation is encouraged.
The class is free, but registration is required. Register online here. There were still spots available as of 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13.
The class on Saturday, April 23, begins at 1:30 p.m. and ends at 3 p.m. in the Mountlake Terrace Library, located at 23300 58th Ave. W.
