Budget discussions to begin at Thursday night’s City Council meeting

logo_mountlaketerrace-1-1The City Council will hold meetings in October and November for budget presentations, review and public hearings that will result in an adopted 2017-2018 biennial budget. Meetings begin at 7 pm at the Council Chambers, located at 6100 219th St. SW, Suite 220.

The City Council will hold a series of meetings in October and November for budget presentations, review and public hearings that will result in an adopted 2017-2018 biennial budget. It is anticipated the Council will adopt a budget for the 2017-2018 Biennium on Dec. 5.

On Thursday, Oct. 13, the 2017-2018 Proposed Biennial Budget Department Presentations will include Recreation, Parks, and Property Management (including review of the Recreation and Park Fees for 2017-2021 Resolution), Public Works/Engineering Services, and the Administrative Services Department.

The Police Department, Municipal Court, and Fire Protection Services, Community and Economic Development, City Council, City Manager, and Community Relations Departments will deliver their budget presentations to the City Council at its Monday, Oct. 17 meeting.

City Council will review the proposed budget at its Work/Study Session on Nov. 3. A public hearing on the 2017-2018 Proposed Budget is scheduled for Nov. 7.
