Mountlake Terrace’s Aaron Brooks picked up his first win as an Aquasox as he pitched the final two innings of a 6-5 Everett victory over the Hillsboro Hops at Everett Memorial Stadium Sunday night.

Brooks entered the game in the eighth inning with Everett down 5-4 and held the Hops scoreless, striking out three and walking none. The Aquasox picked up single runs in their half of the eighth and ninth innings for the walk-off victory.

Brooks has now made three appearances in relief for the single-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. He picked up a save in his first outing on June 16, a 4-3 Everett win over the Spokane Indians.

The Aquasox finish their first homestand of the 2013 season Monday night with a 7:05 p.m. matchup with Hillsboro before hitting the road for three games against the Tri-City Dust Devils beginning on Tuesday. Everett returns on Friday, June 28, for a three-game weekend home stand against Spokane.
