Brier and Mountlake Terrace students shone bright at the Washington Technology Student Association state conference in Bellevue, winning a number of competitions at the gathering.

About 500 middle and high school students from throughout the state attended the three-day conference held at the Bellevue Hilton March 28-30. Eleven freshman from Mountlake Terrace High School, advised by MTHS science teacher Mark Burbank, and more than 30 students from Brier-Terrace Middle School, led by Margaret Daniels, James Sullivan and Todd Johnston, took part in the event.

Mountlake Terrace High School student Haeley Johnston was presented with the Silver Achievement Award at the conference for excellence in the areas of leadership, technology, school/community service and career planning.
