
Brier Terrace Middle School will be sending nine students to the Technology Student Association (TSA) National Conference to be held June 26-July 1 just outside Washington D.C. TSA is the largest STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) student leadership organization in the state.
The students have successfully competed in STEM-related events at the regional and state level to qualify to attend the National Conference.
While in Washington D.C., the students will be participating in the following team and individual events: Career Preparation, Communication Challenge, Digital Photography, Dragster Design, Essays on Technology, Go-Green, Innovations and Inventions, Knowledge Bowl, Prepared Presentation, Problem Solving and Structural Engineering.
The conference is expected to draw more than 5,000 people from around the country to meet in competitions, attend leadership workshops, and learn during special interest sessions.
