“Brier Terrace faced off against 16 other middle schools, with 100 girls and 142 boys competing in the race,” said Brier Terrace Middle School cross country coach Ryan Treadway said. “With the clouds threatening to bring rain to the course, Brier Terrace ran with great confidence and excitement against the swarm of other runners on the 1.7-mile course. The coaches are very appreciative of our school ASB for funding our racing fees and transportation, as well as the parents who woke up extra early on a Saturday to support our team!”

Upon returning from the meet, the students celebrated their accomplishments with a visit to the Edmonds Dick’s Drive-In.

Overall, Brier Terrace Middle School girls finished fifth out of the eight teams who had enough athletes to count for scoring, while the boys came in seventh out of the nine teams that were able to score, Treadway added.
