Brier Park will serve as the starting and finishing point for a 5K walk on Sunday, May 4, to benefit PURely Haiti, a project to drill a well in Gonaives, Haiti. The work is a ministry effort of Brookview Church of Lynnwood.

The 5K walk event is scheduled for 3-6 p.m.; registration fee is $30 for adults, $20 for students. Families can register for $60 (which includes two water bottles). Pizza and floats will be sold following the walk for $5. You can register for the event here.

Brookview Church, which meets Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for worship at Lynnwood High School, 18218 North Road, has been sending teams of workers, relief goods and monthly financial support to Haiti for more than six years.

Brier Park is located at 2903-228th St. S.W. in Brier.
