The City purchased the 5.25-acre of property with a grant from the Snohomish County Conservation Futures program. The property will remain a passive park. The City plans to clear out the blackberry bushes and also develop trails. The potential sale of the property to developers spurred the City to look into purchasing the property, which had been owned by a private individaul since the 1950s. The park is located at the corner northeast corner of Poplar Way and Hickory Way.
