The Mountlake Terrace boys’ basketball team opens Northwest District 3A tournament play Thursday, Feb. 10 at the Terraceum.

The Hawks (9-5 Wesco 3A, 10-10 overall) enter the tournament as the No. 2 Wesco 3A team and Shorewood (7-7, 10-10), the No. 5 Wesco 3A team.

Mountlake Terrace defeated Shorewood both times the teams met in the regular season.

The winner of the 7:30 p.m. Thursday game between Shorewood and Mountlake Terrace plays in a Saturday semifinal game against the winner of the game between Shorecrest and the yet-to-be-determined No. 1 team from the Northwest League.

Mountlake Terrace finished its regular season with 3 straight wins against Oak Harbor, Shorecrest and Meadowdale.
