The Boys Scouts of America are all set for their annual Christmas tree recycling program on Saturday Jan. 2 and Sunday, Jan. 3.
This program, referred to as Operation Dry Needles, has been operating in Snohomish and Island counties for over 20 years. Go to https://dryneedles.com to find an interactive map that identifies the scout troop assigned to your neighborhood and a balloon containing instructions from your local troop.
Donations for this service go directly to the scouts involved and provide them funds for yearly camp outs, summer camps, leadership training and the costs associated with this recycling effort.
Troop 61 will be providing drop-off service Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the following Mountlake Terrace locations:
4301 – 212th St SW, Mountlake TerraceRoger’s Market
