The Mountlake Terrace Hawks ran into another hot pitcher, this time Marysville Pilchuck’s Cody Anderson, as they were shut out by the Tomahawks 5-0 in Marysville on Wednesday. Anderson threw a complete-game three-hitter to earn the win.
Hawk starting pitcher Dominic DeMiero lasted only two innings and absorbed the loss.
Marysville Pilchuck leads the Wesco 3A North conference with a 5-1 league record, 7-1 overall. Terrace drops to 2-4 in league play, 4-5 overall.
The Hawks open a three-game series at home on Tuesday, Apr. 9, against the undefeated Shorewood T-Birds (7-0, 10-0). First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

In other MTHS sports action from Wednesday, the boys soccer team grabbed its first Wesco league win by defeating the Everett Seagulls 1-0 in Everett. Junior Victor Ruelas scored the lone Hawk goal off an assist from Wessam Nakour. Senior Aidan Murray picked up his second shutout of the season.
The Hawks are now 1-4-0 in league play, 2-4-1 overall, as they head to Lynnwood High School on Friday for a match-up against a very strong Royals team. First kick is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
