The Mountlake Terrace Sports Booster Club has selected MTHS seniors Hannah Baisch and Daniel Theis as the students to be featured in the group’s Athlete Highlights posters for May.

“Hannah is one of two captains this year,” said Terrace Head Softball Coach Shannon Rasmussen. “She provides our team with much needed leadership on and off the field. She is willing to do whatever it takes to help our team, including moving from her usual position of third base to catch this year. She has taken the move in stride and has excelled in her new position.”

“She is also one of our top hitters on the team, providing the middle of our order with a consistent bat,” Rasmussen added.

Theis pitches, plays first base, and serves as a co-captain of the Hawks’ baseball team. “Throughout his career he has demonstrated great leadership and this spring he is leading the way for a young Hawks team,” said Head Coach Andrew Watters. “He brings a positive spirit to the squad that makes the game enjoyable for both coaches and teammates.”

Framed editions of the Athlete Highlights publication will be on display at local businesses throughout the month.
