A number of students in need at Mountlake Terrace and Cedar Way Elementary Schools will be starting the school year next week with a new backpack and school supplies courtesy of the Mountlake Terrace Business Association. The group’s president, Ayesha Sheikh, along with MLTBA member and City Councilmember Seaun Richards, delivered 150 backpacks to the schools on Thursday.

This was the fifth year the association has contributed school supplies to local students from money donated by local businesses and individuals throughout the summer.
