Work crews are scrambling to finish Arbor Village, the five-story mixed-use building at 236th Street Southwest and 56th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace, as an Aug. 24 opening date quickly approaches. The 123-unit apartment complex is in its final stages of construction with the top floor now finished and crews working their way down to street level.

The apartments, all on floors two through five with either street or courtyard views, range from 694 square-foot, one-bedroom units to 1,379-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath dwellings. The top-story corner apartment, unit #5114, with high ceilings and a den that overlooks the 236th Street Southwest / 56th Avenue West intersection, will rent for $2,193/month.

The building offers underground residential parking for more than 200 vehicles, including space for more than a dozen electric cars. Other building amenities will include a resident lounge, media room, workout center and a golf simulator.

While less than 10 of the 123 units leased as of July 29, that still tops the relatively slow response to the six street-level commercial spaces available in the building. While no businesses have signed on to move in, “we are close to locking down two prospective tenants,” said Blake Taylor, Sales & Property Manager for Ewing & Clark.

An undercover parking area for 38 vehicles will be available for customers of businesses that move into commercial space in the building.
