
The Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion is gearing up for a big month of April, as registration for spring break and spring Session 1 swimming lessons begin next week, and the annual April Pools Day is slated for April 12.
Students of any age home from school Apr. 7-11 can enjoy their spring break taking swim lessons at the Pavilion. Classes ranging from those intended for the young non-swimmer just learning all the way up to high schoolers wanting lifeguard training will be offered. The four-week, twice-a-week Spring Session 1 swim lessons begin the week of April 14, and also offer a range of classes for all abilities. For more information on Session 1 classes click here.
Registration for all of these classes are staggered over the next couple of weeks, with registration for the Lifeguard Training and Junior Lifeguarding Training classes during spring break open now. Registration for the other spring break swim classes opens on March 31. Session 1 classes offers registration for currently enrolled swimmers first beginning next week; registration will be available to Mountlake Terrace residents currently not participating in Pavilion swim classes on April 9 and to all on April 10.
The Pavilion’s April Pools Day on April 12 will feature demonstrations and activities that promote water and boating safety, prizes and drawings, and a one-hour free public swim.
