Alleged sexual assault reported near Edmonds Community College

Lynnwood Police and Edmonds Community College campus security received a report Tuesday of an alleged sexual assault that happened Monday night.

According to the report, four men ages 23 through 27 allegedly pulled a 20-year-old international student into Gold Park, located at 6421 200th St. SW. in Lynnwood, as she walked by, then sexually assaulted her.

One of the suspects is described as a dark-skinned man wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a dark or black ball cap and a large metallic rectangular belt buckle. He is approximately six feet tall with a muscular build. Two other suspects are described as a light-skinned man and a dark-skinned man with no other identifiers. There are no details on the fourth suspect at this time.

The woman is being cared for by counseling and healthcare personnel at Edmonds Community College. Lynnwood Police and the college are investigating the alleged attack.

College officials encourage students and employees to choose well-lit, populated routes whenever possible and to use popular bus stops. Make sure you can hear what’s going on around you by using only one earbud at a time if listening to music or talking on the phone.
