More than 140 people braved the weather and the frights of opening night at the Nile Country Club Haunted House Friday.

This is the second year the Nile Shriners have hosted a haunted house during the month of October to raise funds for their organization.

The attraction is located at the Nile Golf Course, 6601-244th St. S.W. in Mountlake Terrace. Visitors must drive through the golf course grounds to the north parking lot, where attendants provide assistance. Shuttle buses then take you to the entrance of the haunted house. Tickets are purchases there for $10.

The haunted house is scheduled to run Fridays-Sundays, Oct. 12-14, Oct. 19-21 and Oct. 26-28, in addition to Halloween night, Wednesday, Oct. 31. “Family Fun” sessions run from 5-7 p.m. p.m. each night the attraction is open, with “Full Scare” sessions set for 7-11 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Halloween, and 7-9 p.m. on Sundays.
