Yes, I want to support MLTnews!There are only a few openings left for the Mountlake Terrace Police Department free seminar “Personal Defense and Personal Safety Tips” to be held Thursday, May 30. The seminar is scheduled to take place Thursday, 6-9 p.m., at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23308-58th Ave. W.
The free course offers knowledge and resources in personal safety, firearms and other defense options. Topics include a pyramid of personal awareness, pre-incident indicators, do’s and don’ts on confronting criminals, deadly force encounters, shoot or don’t shoot decisions, family emergency planning and firearms options and personal defense equipment.
Sgt. Pat Lowe, a 17-year law enforcement officer and certified firearms instructor with the City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department, will instruct the seminar.
