A couple of MLTnews readers asked about what was going on with the recent clearing on the west side of 56th Ave W near 218th St. Here is what Curt Brees, Public Works Director, said is being done:
The road is very narrow and there was a fence that sat on the ROW right at the pavement edge. Overgrowth of the adjacent property lead to numerous complaints, we have removed the fence, cleared vegetation and are now working on grading it out/reestablishing some grass.

It’d make a nice little temporary parking space for the residents across the street when they invite guests. I don’t know how people park in that narrow street.
